For more than 60 years, the Heart Foundation (Opens in new tab) has led the battle to save lives and improve the heart health of all Australians.
They are improving heart health in Australia by funding research, supporting people with heart disease, educating the public on heart health, and advocating for better heart-healthy practices. They also provide resources and guidelines for healthcare professionals.
Vision and mission
The Heart Foundation's vision is that heart health will be achievable by everyone in Australia by 2050.
They are doing this by advancing heart health equity; creating environments and systems that enable healthy behaviours; preventing, detecting, and managing risk early; and managing heart disease effectively to prevent further events.
