Supporting My Rights app
Health app | By: Down Syndrome Australia
Supporting My Rights app (Opens in new tab) was created in co-design and co-production. Down Syndrome Australia (DSA) worked with a team of people with intellectual disability to produce the resources and make sure the app was accessible. The app went through several rounds of user testing with more members of the DSA community including people with Down syndrome, their families, carers and support workers, and service providers.
This free app supports people with disability to understand their rights when accessing NDIS services.
The app offers:
- Easy Read content for people with disability
- Practical tools and activities to support learning
- Video, podcasts and resources on key topics about human rights
- Auslan translations of podcasts
- Guidance for service providers on rights-based support
Supporting My Rights app is free to download from the Supporting My Rights app - Apple App Store (Opens in new tab) and Supporting My Rights app - Google Play Store (Opens in new tab).
